SMC Sports and Social Club holds blood drive

SIBU (Oct 25): The Sibu Municipal Council (SMC) Sports and Social Club collaborated with the Sibu Hospital blood bank to hold a blood donation campaign at Wisma Sanyan today.

Club vice-president Normawati Hossen said all staff working at Wisma Sanyan had the opportunity to support the blood drive.

“We have about 30 people registered for the blood donation,” she said.

Normawati added they also accepted walk-ins, including from the public, but the focus was on civil servants and private sector employees working in Wisma Sanyan.

She said the campaign sought to help the hospital to have a continuous supply of blood.

This is the second time the club has held such a programme.
