Strict Enforcement of Heavy Trucks Plying and Parking at Residential Areas at Jalan Ulu Sg Merah Lorong 31-I and Jalan Ulu Sg Merah  Lorong 31-J/1

YB Datuk Chairman commented that continuing complaints were received from public on heavy vehicles plying and parking at residential areas. He appealed to the errant drivers of heavy vehicles to co-operate with Council and refrain from plying and parking at residential areas, in particular the one being identified at Jalan Ulu Sg Merah Lorong 31-I and Jalan Ulu Sg Merah Lorong 31-J/1. The oil palm operators were found misuse the agriculture land title and converted into depot for heavy trucks. Those heavy trucks damaged the roads within the vicinity and may pose danger to other road users and ignorant children.

Council is going to serve notice to the operators and errant drivers of oil palm company to cease them from plying and parking heavy trucks there. A height limit barrier shall be put up to prevent the heavy trucks from entering the residential roads immediately after the coming Chinese New year celebration as a preventive for any untoward accident.

The Council’s scavenging contractor workers would then be arranged to collect rubbish from the residential houses there using mobile trolley.
